Q) Why is Abranet so different from ordinary abrasives?
A) Abranet is a unique patented mesh sanding material containing thousands of small holes, making it possible to effectively vacuum away dust and other particles without clogging the strip surface. The result is seen as a very uniform sanding pattern and a perfectly smooth surface. Since the amount of airborne dust has been minimised, the work environment is remarkably improved.
Developed and produced by Mirka, Abranet’s dust-free quality has been proven through the European standard EN 1093-3 test carried out by one of the leading laboratories developing the European Standards for machine emission.
Independent laboratory tests have confirmed that compared with traditional abrasives, Abranet contributes significantly to a dust-free working environment, reducing air-borne emissions by 99 per cent or more. This has clear health and safety benefits.
Abranet is a registered mark of the KWH Group.
